Visions and Values
Our vision here in Portree High School is to have learners, parents, staff and the local community working together to enable high quality learning and teaching and to empower learners. We are proud of our Gaelic heritage and seek to have parity between Gaelic and English; we are committed to the continuity of Gaelic Medium Education. We value the local dimension and work hard to ensure that we take full advantage of our very supportive community. By consulting widely with our partners and stakeholders, we aim to give the very best opportunities to our young people. We do this by regularly evaluating our progress e.g. through our parent council, our pupil council, our learning council and through parental evaluation sheets.
In Portree High School we are committed to providing the very best education possible within an inclusive learning environment. Everyone in this school matters. We aim to raise achievement for all, ensuring that our young people be all they can be. We wish to enable our young people to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to succeed in learning, life and work.
So our goal is to 'get it right' for each and every learner in our school.
